We are looking to recruit an Art Collections Curator (Maternity Cover) for 12 months to oversee the curatorial management and work of the Art Collection of the University of Edinburgh.

The Opportunity:

To oversee the curatorial management of the Accredited Art Collection of the University as a resource for academic and wider communities through teaching, learning, engagement and research. To manage resources of time, people and money effectively, and to work in tandem with the wider Research Collections team

Your skills and attributes for success: 

  • Broad knowledge of any field in art history or contemporary art and a detailed operational knowledge of the museum or gallery sector.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification.
  • Substantial collections management experience including managing acquisitions and donations.
  • Line management experience with proven ability to lead, motivate, inspire, support and delegate.
