The University of Bradford has a current position for a KTP Associate working with Arris Global Ltd.  This is a well-established programme and a well-supported position funded jointly by Innovate UK and Arris Global Ltd through the Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) scheme.  The overall aim of the KTP scheme is to support UK industry to improve their competitiveness, productivity and performance, where the KTP Associate post plays a key role in achieving that aim.

ARRIS is a world leader in the design and manufacture of head end equipment, network infrastructure, and Consumer Premise Equipment (CPE) for Pay TV, Cable and telecommunications operators around the world. This includes both hardware and software functions.  This is an exciting time to join a truly global company with over 6,000 experts working in more than 30 countries. You will be at the centre of a new era of entertainment and communications transforming the way millions of people around the world connect to the internet and watch TV.  

With the full support of the Academic and industry leading team members you would be involved in leading the research to develop and implement state-of-the-art MIMO antenna rays for wireless indoor Arris products. MIMO is multiple-input and multiple-output - a method for increasing the capacity of a radio link using multiple transmit and receive antennas to exploit multipath propagation. The KTP Associate will need to have a PhD in a field to RF/antenna design or an equivalent industry research based track record. They will be expected to investigate, design, develop and test proposals, along with writing up and dissemination of findings to include organising workshops for interested academics and commercial organisations.
