We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Officer to join the management team for AlChemy - a new partnership between Imperial College London, the University of Liverpool and a large consortium of academic and industrial partners.

Based at Imperial College London's White City Campus, you will have a broad range of responsibilities, working closely with the Hub Managers, Directors, academic leads and industrial partners to provide effective logistic support to ensure the smooth running of the Hub. AIChemy has been funded to promote the development of novel AI, alongside the increased uptake of AI amongst the chemistry community. The consortium brings together experts across AI and both experimental and computational chemistry and this Hub will promote connectivity of the broader community, training, networking, as well as state-of-the-art research.


Duties and responsibilities

You will provide high quality, effective project / administrative support across the AIChemy Hub. The ability to plan and prioritise workload, meet essential deadlines and proactively manage the responsibilities of the position is a prerequisite for anyone keen to apply. To perform this role, you will need to be highly numerate, have excellent interpersonal skills and be a confident communicator. You will be well organised with a strong desire to deliver excellent work. This role will make an impact by enabling the Hub to deliver against its overall vision.


Essential requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate.  Some of the essential requirements are:

  • Educated to A level or equivalent in a scientific field.
  • Experience developing positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience in office-based administration and support services within Higher Education.
  • Excellent organisational and person-management skills and the ability to interact with people effectively.
  • A meticulous approach and attention to detail.

Further information

This is a full time and fixed term role until 31 January 2029. You will be based at White City Campus.
