We are looking for an AgriTech Talent e-Learning Developer.

The Opportunity:

To proactively develop and maintain e-Learning and other web-based resources to support the AgriTech Talent programme’s postgraduate taught programmes (PGT), Undergraduate courses, continuing professional development (CPD) activities and Citizen Science projects. This will involve taking responsibility for transferring material from contributing academics and reformatting into engaging online learning materials and student activities.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Work closely with stakeholders and contributors to design and produce high quality e-Learning resources in order to broaden the variety of course options available, and to generate income through the provision of these courses.
  • Liaise with PGT Programme Directors, CPD Director, the Digital Education Unit (DEU), Veterinary Teaching Organisation (VTO), academics and other stakeholders to provide pedagogical advice for course design and resource production.
  • Coordination, assimilation, and transfer of teaching content, assessment and other materials, and learning resources from collaborating partners, and placement on Edinburgh University’s virtual learning environment (VLE) or other appropriate delivery system, whilst complying with accessibility and copyright legislation.
  • As part of the course team, support online synchronous and asynchronous discussions.
  • Liaise with other developers in the Digital Education Unit to ensure that materials and learning resources produced in undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD contexts can be repurposed and used in other contexts in the R(D)SVS.
  • Contribute to the development and running of staff training provided by the DEU.
