The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is seeking a motivated individual to join the Clinical Placements Administration Team.

The Clinical Placements Administration Team are responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of the placements undertaken by students/trainees from the Schools of Health Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Biosciences & Medicine and Psychology. The post holder will work as a key member of this dynamic, multi-disciplinary team to provide excellent service and support to students, staff and key external partners. Key activities will include scheduling student placements, day to day handling of student enquiries, liaising with External Placement Providers, supporting the e-portfolio administration, processing and advising on student travel claims as well as providing ongoing administrative support for the programme and placements.

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate a strong customer focus and understanding of what students, staff and external placement providers will require from them. The role requires a proactive individual, competent in the use of IT with an attitude open to change. The ability to work to a high level of accuracy is also essential.

The role will require excellent interpersonal and organisational ability demonstrating adaptability and flexibility with regards to changing workloads and priorities.

Relevant administrative experience is desirable. Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office packages, and familiarity with databases would also be beneficial.

The role requires flexibility from the individual to work on campus or remotely as required.
