We are looking to appoint a proactive and efficient Administrative Assistant to provide professional support for two co-located central departments - the Evaluation and Policy Department and the Planning and Performance Department. 

The post holder will provide professional administrative support to the heads of both departments, including full diary management and organisation of meetings; undertaking financial oversight of departmental budgets; ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the office and acting as Secretary to various Groups taking accurate minutes and recording actions. The post holder will also support the heads of department on all matters related to Health and Safety.   

This role is pivotal in supporting two small, high performing and busy teams and will work with colleagues both within the departments and across the University. To excel in this position, you will need: 

  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good attention to detail 
  • The ability to take the initiative
