Continuing Education is located within City`s Research and Enterprise Office. We manage the recruitment, enrolment and administration of approximately 120 short courses per term accounting for 4,500 students. This provision covers the areas of Business, Computing, Writing, Creative Industries and Languages.


The Continuing Education Administrative Assistant will assist two existing administrators in providing high quality administrative support with student enrolments, online payments, course confirmations, joining instructions room bookings and statistical information. Working in a busy office environment, this will involve providing prospective students with information relating to course descriptions, availability, price and online payment requirements. In addition the post holder will assist some of our visiting lecturers in the preparation of course materials.

Person Specification

Applicants should have a minimum of GCSE Grades A-C/O-levels and experience of working in a team role in a busy and sometimes challenging environment. A comprehensive use and knowledge of IT packages including Excel and Microsoft Office are essential. The role requires clear communication skills for both telephone and email enquiries and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to arrange of both external and internal enquiries.
