We are seeking an administration and data officer to actively assist the SAIL Analytical Services team to effectively manage the administrative aspects of their day to day activities. The post is for a role contributing to research support activities, health research projects, and the shared development of tools and infrastructure to facilitate research. The appointee will be a member of SAIL Analytical Services, an interdisciplinary team applying cutting edge methods to further research in this field, so that maximum benefit may be derived from this data to improve population health and well-being. 

  • To be accountable for undertaking on a daily basis reviews of files requested by projects to be released outside of the SAIL Gateway
  • Monitor the team's Help Desk ticket queue
  • To be accountable for the regular production of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each of the services offered by the team
  • To be accountable for organising and facilitating internal and external meetings, seminars and events
  • Draft agendas, reports and other project documentation
  • To professionally represent the interests of the team at all times
  • To promote equality and diversity in working practices and to maintain positive working relationships

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a project support administration role
  • Previous experience of facilitation / supporting meetings (including preparation and circulation of agendas and documentation, and note / minute taking
  • Ability to demonstrate high level of numeracy including knowledge of statistics, quantitative research methods or data analysis
  • Demonstrate ability to work under pressure against committed deadlines
  • Proven ability to organise own work load and prioritise tasks
  • Demonstrate accuracy and a methodical approach with good attention to details
