We are looking for an Acquisitions, Metadata, and Scholarly Communications Manager to join our Information Services Learning and Research Services team. This role is critical to the successful delivery of a responsive, high quality customer centric experience for our staff and students.
The University is continuing to make a significant investment in its IT and digital services provision to ensure the delivery of a consistent, high quality service across the University. Information Services provide innovative and reliable IT and Library services which are continually being adapted to meet the changing needs of the staff and students in rapidly changing technology environment.
Learning and Research Services work as a part of wider Library Team and assist students, staff and guests in their use of the University’s broad range of technologies and library services, helping them work smarter, faster and easier.
The role
In this role you will manage the Resource Acquisitions team and collaborate with the wider Learning and Research Services team as well as other colleagues in the Library and Information Services. You will have responsibility for implementing and managing processes within the Resource Acquisitions team around acquisitions, metadata, Research Repository and other scholarly communication activities.

You will have demonstrable experience in an acquisitions or bibliographic related role and experience of scholarly communication work. You will have proven leadership skills and your approach to work will be collaborative, with excellent communication skills.
Our ideal candidate will also have experience of working within a customer-led environment and a commitment to innovation and service development.
