The Faculties of Economics and History wish to appoint a full time Accounts Assistant. The role will be based in the Faculty of Economics but will work part of the week in the Faculty of History.

The Faculty of Economics at the University of Cambridge is one of the leading and longest standing economics faculties in Europe. Working as part of an established accounts team, you will undertake the administration of accounts and maintain financial records within the Faculty of Economics and Faculty of History in order to provide a high-quality accounting function, and ensure the Faculties remain compliant with the University's financial regulations, and adhere to University financial procedures at all times.

This is a varied role with a wide range of accounting administration responsibilities being undertaken within both Faculties. You will be the first point of contact for financial matters and will liaise with staff at all levels in both Faculties, dealing with staff, student and supplier queries. You will ensure the prompt and accurate provision of accounting information and guidance.

You should have experience in a similar accounts position and be able to demonstrate confidence using Microsoft Office and financial software and reporting tools. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work. You will possess the ability to prioritise efficiently and meet rigid deadlines on a regular basis.
