Your effective administration skills will be welcome in this busy role, based in our friendly accommodation office in Brighton, where you will help our students with their accommodation enquiries and advice. Providing a comprehensive accommodation service is vital in ensuring our students have a positive university experience and you will play a key role by being responsible for accommodation matters throughout the student accommodation lifecycle in the Halls of Residence and carrying out the day-to-day administration.

Playing an important role in enhancing the student experience at the University, you will use your understanding of housing to develop and maintain relations with hosts to provide homestay accommodation for new and returning students.  Working as part of a busy, friendly team at our Moulsecoomb campus, you will be assisting the team with our homestay scheme and respond to general student queries, giving general housing advice or signposting them to other support services as required.  In addition, you will carry out inspections and assessments of new properties and address any issues arising.

To succeed in the role, you will need some knowledge of students' needs in Higher Education and have relevant work experience in a similar environment.  Knowledge of local authorities in relation to housing (for example, HMOs) and the ability to maintain a customer-orientated focus while planning and prioritising your workload to meet deadlines.

The role is offered on a permanent basis, we would like someone to start as soon as possible. Please note that very limited time off for holidays will be granted during August and September.  Some weekend work is required.
