The opportunity

The Academic Standards team within UAL Awarding Body are looking for an experienced Administrative Officer with a passion for and working knowledge of the creative education sector.   

UAL Awarding Body design and award creative qualifications that empower and inspire educators to help students reach their potential. 

We currently offer pre degree qualifications in art and design, fashion, creative media, music and performing and production arts.  We are also the UK’s largest provider of the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design qualification. 

Our qualifications are successful because they are flexible, responsive and relevant to industry needs, and facilitate student progression. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and enhancement of nuanced approaches to academic standards in creative education as part of the Academic Standards team.  The team includes experienced creative educators who work with academic concepts to provide and enhance methods of creative education in the UK and overseas.  The successful candidate is expected to support these endeavours through creative administrative and project based solutions, and adapt their way of working to always allow for free expression and testing of abstract ideas. 

This is a hybrid role with considerable time working from home.


About you

The successful candidate will have a degree level qualification and high level administrative skills along with experience working in an educational institution or environment, and of working to deadlines and high quality standards.  They will have advanced IT skills, be expected to work independently, collaboratively and flexibly with complex work, and be willing to travel to attend occasional events across the UK.
