The Academic Planning Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting academic planning processes for the School's degree and accredited programmes. Working closely with academics, Student and Programme Services staff, and central university personnel, the successful candidate will contribute to the efficient functioning of the Faculty Services team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and updating the School's teaching plan databases, including liaising with programme staff and Academic Area Heads
  • Tracking teaching and supervision allocations, allocating teaching points, and managing payments as per the Teaching Points Tariff
  • Communicating policy and regulatory matters to academic and other staff
  • Investigating and recording information for existing and proposed new programmes for accreditation purposes
  • Acting as secretary to the SBS Nominating Committee and monitoring upcoming vacancies

You should demonstrate the ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively, meeting tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are essential. You should excel in customer service, maintaining a professional manner, and have previous experience working both independently and as a key part of a collaborative team.
