The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health. Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide; working in partnership to achieve excellence in public and global health research, education and translation of knowledge into policy and practice.
We are looking for an Academic Developer to join our Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), a vibrant team of education specialists working across LSHTM to promote teaching excellence, learning innovation and student engagement.
You will work closely with colleagues in CELT on a six-month Assessment and Feedback Project. The project aims to support the enhancement of assessment and feedback practices at LSHTM through reviewing good practice internally and across the higher education sector, providing advice and support on revising and innovating assessment practices, and engaging with students to bring the student voice into the outputs of the project.
You will be the main point of contact for the project and will convene project meetings with colleagues in CELT and the wider academic and student community.
You should be educated to postgraduate level, and have Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy or equivalent professional recognition. You should be able to apply your knowledge of contemporary approaches to designing and enhancing assessment and feedback to inspire and motivate change in assessment and feedback practices. Further particulars are included in the job description.
