Oxford Brookes Business School is currently recruiting for an Academic Administration Manager, based at our Headington Campus.

This is a key role within the Business School's professional services structure. The role holder works closely with senior Faculty and Directorate staff to ensure the effective and efficient administration of existing programmes within the Business School, together with the management of processes related to the development and validation of new programmes.

The role holder oversees the work of a series of teams within the Business School, including Quality Officers, Programme Administrators, Student Support Coordinators, and a team dedicated to the support of our Collaborative Provision in the UK and overseas.

The role holder will be extremely well organised, be able to prioritise their own work and that of their teams, and will possess the necessary interpersonal skills to build collaborative and effective working relationships with academic and professional services colleagues within and beyond the Business School.

This post reports to the Associate Dean Student Experience, and the role holder works closely with the Operations Manager, other professional services managers and the Head of Quality Assurance and Validations within the Business School, in addition to integrated working with colleagues in the Directorate of Academic and Student Affairs, Marketing and Admissions teams.

As Academic Administration Manager you should have:

  • Degree or significant relevant experience
  • Good knowledge and understanding of HE Systems and procedures for academic and student support
  • Comprehensive understanding of HE Quality management procedures and processes
  • Successful line management experience
  • Successful project management experience
  • Ability to work closely with, and influence senior and academic staff
  • Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
