We are looking for a motivated Research Associate with strong statistical skills to work on the project validating a novel measure of wonder in school children, teachers and school leaders. This post is full-time, with funding for up to a maximum of 6 months, to start as soon as possible.  However, it may be possible to appoint a candidate to the post part-time, for a longer duration. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting children aged 9-11, teachers and school leads from the database of local schools; carrying out data collection using online Qualtrics-based measures; cleaning, coding and analysing the data, as well as assisting with pre-registering the study and subsequently co-authoring a manuscript for publication. Strong data analysis skills, including proficiency in using RStudio, are required, and experience with questionnaire development and psychometrics research practices is highly desirable. 

You will be based in the Psychology Department at Lancaster University, which is home to Undergraduate teaching, Postgraduate teaching and research.  The Department has a core complement of more than 40 members of academic staff and a thriving community of post-doctoral researchers and PhD students, based in four research groups (Infancy and Early Development, Language and Cognition, Perception and Action, Social Processes).
