The Courtauld is a world-leading institution specialising in the teaching, research, conservation and curation of art and its histories with an internationally renowned gallery at its heart. The Courtauld Gallery cares for one of the finest art collections in the world, famous for its iconic Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces. A specialist institution with a mighty presence on the global stage, we are widely known for our illustrious alumni, with an unusually high number who lead major international museums, commercial galleries, auction houses and art fairs drawn from just 9000 graduates.
An exciting and highly rewarding opportunity has arisen to join The Courtauld’s ambitious and creative Membership and Individual Giving team as we continue to grow income across both Friends and Courtauld Patrons Membership schemes, and Individual Giving programmes.
With a passion for and deep knowledge of the visual arts, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development of a highly unique Courtauld Patrons programme and will deliver high quality engaging communications including e-newsletters, event brochures and campaign messaging across Membership and Individual Giving. You will develop and implement a programme of events, visits and trips for Courtauld Patrons alongside Friends events, maximising opportunities to build activity with our esteemed alumni, faculty, students and gallery team. The role also provides an opportunity to build on cultivation planning and work across the Advancement team to increase our prospect pool, actively seeking out new Courtauld Patrons and individual donors to increase income and growth, year-on year.
A confident, target-driven and warm individual, you will have previous membership, event planning or fundraising experience built within an arts or cultural organisation. You will excel at seizing opportunities both within The Courtauld and with key partners to create an outstanding programme for Courtauld Patrons and Friends. You will have experience in building relationships with key stakeholders and demonstrate a strong knowledge of digital communications with excellent copywriting skills to excite donors with engaging and stand-out content.
