We are looking to appoint an experienced primary care academic passionate about primary care education for medical undergraduates, to share the leadership of the SGUL Primary Care Education Group. The post holder will be involved in strategic development of the primary care curriculum within MBBS, as well as support the management and delivery of educational activities: from recruitment and training of GP tutors to education delivery for students, quality assurance and financing of primary care education. The role will involve liaising with internal and external networks and GP tutor faculty.

Key attributes of the successful applicant include:

  • Successful track record in the delivery of primary care education for medical undergraduates, including primary care placement delivery.
  • Experience of leadership with excellent interpersonal and group communication skills. 
  • Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and personal initiative to solve problems, a self-starter with ability to work unsupervised.
  • Evidence of scholarship in medical education and passion for enthusing students to choose general practice as a career.
