We are seeking to appoint a practical science technical demonstrator to be based at the University of Greenwich Medway Campus, who can provide assistance and practical demonstrations to foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate students within the School of Science curriculum area.

We’re looking for applicants who are passionate about Science. The role’s main responsibilities will be working with the specialist technicians and academic staff to provide demonstration of various pharmaceutical and chemistry related modules. A high level of technical competence will therefore be expected. Principally a student facing role, the successful candidate will work directly with students to give technical guidance and support in undergraduate labs and research projects. 

During term time, you will support teaching sessions in the chemistry/pharmaceutical laboratories.  The role holder will be expected to support vocational learning in compliance with safe working practices and working closely with the technicians contribute to maintaining the relevant work areas used for practical teaching 

Outside of term time, you will form part of the School’s core technical team; supporting research activity, technical infrastructure and health and safety, and carrying out administrative duties as well as supervising post graduate project work.

We’re looking for team players who can work on their own initiative. Good organisational skills and time management are also key.
