This exciting new role has been created to support and ensure the timely and effective handling of investigations for student conduct and complaints casework. 

The Academic Registry Officer (Student Investigations) will utilise their experience and high-level investigation skills to undertake investigations relating to non-academic student conduct cases (including allegations of bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct) and student complaints as assigned within the Academic Registry casework team.  

Managing their own varied caseload, the role holder will act as the University’s lead investigating officer for this area of student casework, as well as delivering training and guidance across the university.

They will also be required to stay up to date with sector best practice, guidance and advice from external bodies such as the Office for Students (OfS), Universities UK (UUK), and the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA) ensuring that good practice and external guidance is embedded in investigation handling and training where appropriate.
