This is an excellent opportunity for an early career professional to join our growing Student Recruitment and Events team. This post will provide experience of large-scale event organisation, working within a team that delivers more than 10,000 visitors across four University Open Days and three campuses each year. The role also involves the coordination of an evolving roster of smaller bespoke virtual and live events targeted at postgraduates, applicants and offer holders to aid both student recruitment and conversion.
The post-holder will gain practical experience of using the project management tools required to plan and deliver large events in addition to leading elements of on-the-day delivery which will include briefing and managing teams of student ambassadors. In additional to handling logistics and administration, the post-holder is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of event collateral and marketing materials to continually improve recruitment and on the day event experience.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and have enjoyed a positive higher education experience, having made an active and substantial contribution to university life. The post-holder should be an enthusiastic advocate for the benefits of higher education and for the University of Greenwich.
We are looking for someone with a commitment to the development and maintenance of quality customer care service. The post -holder should possess good knowledge of student recruitment, have strong written and verbal communication skills and be highly organised. Knowledge of data management such as updating data sets and managing data from different sources as well as pulling reports to analyse activity is beneficial. The post-holder will support the events team by setting up events and tracking new events within Gecko event management software.
The successful candidate will be required to work open days and other student recruitment events, working flexibly including evenings and occasional weekends. The post holder would be expected to work from our Avery Hill Campus, and occasionally our Greenwich and Medway campuses as required.
