Aston University is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Outreach Assistant to support the delivery of our student recruitment and outreach activities. Working within the Student Recruitment and Outreach team, you will help deliver our Outreach programmes by coordinating events, deliver presentations, and represent Aston University at schools, colleges, UCAS fairs and on-campus events.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, organising events and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You'll have the chance to make a real difference by supporting students on their journey to higher education
As the successful candidate, you will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have experience of working with young people, delivering presentations and providing excellent customer service. Strong communication, organisation and IT skills are essential, along with an understanding of the UK education system.
Experience within higher education, event planning or widening participation activities would be advantageous. The role requires occasional evening and weekend working, travel across the UK and a full UK driving licence.
This role is subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
