A shorth (three months) postdoctoral research fellowship is available in a collaborative Horizon Europe project entitled “AMPLITUDE”. 

This research will be undertaken in the Optoelectronics & Biomedical Photonics Group, in the Aston Institute of Photonics Technologies, Aston University, UK

This is a joint research programme capitalising on the knowledge and expertise across Europe in laser development and biophotonics. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting independent research in a wide range of the development of new laser prototypes and systems. The successful candidate will possess should have a PhD in laser physics, biophotonics, optoelectronics or relevant fields. The candidate must have experience in the development of laser medical diagnostic and therapeutic systems, modelling the propagation of optical radiation in biological tissues, cell research and research on laboratory animals.

The position will be based in the Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies and will report to Prof E. Rafailov.
