Aston University is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious Visa Compliance Officer to join their expanding Visa Compliance team.

As a Visa Compliance Officer, the successful applicant will contribute to the day-to-day tasks associated with maintaining the University Student Sponsor Licence. 

These responsibilities are wide-ranging and will utilise the successful applicant’s knowledge of UK Home Office Immigration regulations in the context of Higher Education. These responsibilities include assessing student CAS eligibility, monitoring international student attendance, Home Office reporting obligations, auditing student visa documentation and managing International Student enrolment. The successful applicant will use their knowledge of this specific area of UK Immigration to ensure full compliance with the UKVI’s Immigration Rules and Student Sponsor Guidance and help develop and apply the Institution's policies and procedures towards this goal. This includes working closely with the Immigration Advice team, our partners at ONCAMPUS Aston and other colleagues across the University at all levels. 

Educated to degree level or have equivalent experience, you must also have strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise your own workload to meet multiple deadlines and balance a busy working schedule.In order to succeed in this broad and varied role, you must be confident in your abilities to identify risks to the University Student Sponsor License and have an aptitude for problem solving as well as strong data analysis skills.

The successful candidate would be required to have clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
