Hours: 7.4 hours per week / 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Temporary from August 2024 to June 2025, or the return of the postholder whichever is soonest
Salary: Fixed point 40: £43,511 per annum pro rata, per annum

As a member of the School management team you will be responsible for leading and supporting the successful planning, implementation and delivery of all aspects of the curriculum. This position involves a good knowledge and understanding of the curriculum area, to ensure the successful implementation of quality assurance and standards. The role will include operational management of staff and students to achieve the curriculum, school and college key performance indicators.

You will provide academic planning and operational support at curriculum level and have specific responsibility for developing and overseeing student progress and achievement practice, including supporting the Head of School - Sixth Form and Science in staffing, timetabling, curriculum planning and sequencing, alongside quality assurance practices within the colleges Quality Cycle.

This post will be carried out in addition to your teaching post and teaching hours will be reduced accordingly.

What we are looking for

Applications are invited from candidates who have an up to date knowledge and experience of the curriculum area. This must include understanding of curriculum structures, sequencing and quality assurance processes.

You must be qualified to degree level or relevant professional qualification at level 4 or above and have a recognised teaching qualification at Level 4 or above.
