Open Rank Faculty - Public Health and Epidemiology

 Khalifa University is a leading academic institution dedicated to providing world-class education, research, and innovation. The Department of Public Health and Epidemiology within the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at Khalifa University covers a wide array of fields including infection and chronic diseases epidemiology, artificial intelligence in public health, precision medicine and prevention, among others.

The faculty members conduct cutting-edge research on a wide range of topics within these fields. The department offers a Ph.D. in Public Health.

The department invites applications for four open rank positions in the following areas:

• Biostatistics
• Global Health
• Public Health Policy & Systems
• Healthcare Analytics
• Environmental Public Health
• Health Economics
• Health promotion and disease prevention
• Occupational health and safety

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

 A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics or related disciplines from an accredited institution is required, along with a minimum of two years of experience. Preference will be given to candidates with education from and/or previous service in distinguished institutions of higher education. The successful candidates will join a vibrant and forward-thinking department with a focus on cutting-edge research and excellence in education. We are seeking candidates specializing in public health to contribute to our academic mission. The candidates are expected to engage in high-impact research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor and advise students, foster intellectual curiosity and research excellence and actively participate in the academic community.

 Candidates should demonstrate expertise in fundamental or applied research, have an established research reputation or outstanding research potential, strong publication record in top journals, have the ability to attract external research funding and have a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. 

 The candidate’s CV should include the following information, among others: Field of Specialization, Citation Data from Scopus and Scholar with links, Academic Qualifications, Academic Honors and Awards, Membership of Professional Bodies; Summary of Courses Taught, Participation in Academic Accreditation if any; Students Supervised by Level, Complete List of Publications, Research Grants Obtained; Membership of Conference Committees, Membership of Journal Editorial Boards, and Services.
