The Department of Electrical Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is seeking a post-doctoral researcher with experience in energy management, optimization and control techniques. The research will focus on the investigation of new energy management strategies, optimal design of multiple sources and real-time control of the hybrid electric vehicle. The selected candidate is expected to develop an intelligent energy management technique, design the optimal source sizing using a new optimization approach and finally perform the real-time control of the hybrid electric vehicle to follow the speed and torque. The candidate must have experience with MATLAB and other statistical tools. Good knowledge of optimization techniques, control systems, and power electronics is preferred. • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering • Strong interest in academic research in the above-mentioned field • Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink platform

• Expertise in simulation tools and real-time simulators.

• Publication track record is a plus.
