The Research Laboratory of Prof. Serdal Kirmizialtin, in the Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), seeks to appoint a talented researcher with an excellent record of academic success for a Post-Doctoral Associate position. The research will focus on the development and use of machine learning and advanced molecular dynamics techniques to study Nucleic acids structures and their interactions. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, or related field, with extensive experience in the application of molecular dynamics simulations to molecular systems, ideally in both methods and applications. Experience in experimentally guided molecular simulation techniques and experience in computing and interpreting Small Angle X-Ray scattering is highly desirable. An ideal candidate will have a solid background in physics and chemistry, particularly in the area of statistical mechanics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent record of research accomplishments are preferred. Experience with modern sampling techniques such as metadynamics, UFED, path sampling, milestoning methods; good computer programming skills, and working knowledge of UNIX, phyton, and shell scripting is highly desired. Experience in Gromacs, PLUMED and OpenMM will be very valuable.
