The burgeoning MFA program is currently in year three of existence and we seek to fulfill our commitment to equity-focused teaching practices and diversity in the design of our curriculum. We are eager to welcome a colleague whose experiences, training, and practices will contribute to our efforts in developing the richly diverse landscape of artists and artistic production. We seek an educator and scholar experienced in developing and managing an innovative curriculum with a strong pedagogical focus on bridging theory and practice together, whose scholarship demonstrates a global understanding of image/visual studies, representation and contemporary critical theory.

Track record of excellence in both teaching, curation, and connecting educational programs and pedagogies with public facing art organizations. A scholar and curatorial practitioner who uses approaches from a variety of institutional models and perspectives.

We welcome an educator with a terminal degree and a track record of excellence in both teaching and curation/cultural practices with the professional background to teach all levels of Art students, at both the undergraduate and graduate level. We are looking to appoint an innovative educator-curator who works with a variety of media, techniques and forms of presentation, and whose work is engaged in an active research process around contemporary art practice.

The successful applicant will also have demonstrated commitment to service, including mentoring and advising graduate students from diverse backgrounds and a desire to shape the future of the curriculum through leadership roles and curriculum development. The successful candidate will be able to relate their own practice and research to other fields of study for collaborative teaching, learning and research opportunities.  Responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate teaching and supervision in the MFA Program, teaching in the Core Curriculum, and service to the university.
