Senior Researcher focusing on the Politics of Cybersecurity

The Center for Security Studies (CSS) at ETH Zurich is a centre of competence for Swiss and international security policy. It offers security policy expertise in research, teaching, and consultancy.


Job description

You will be expected to develop an independent research project in the field of cybersecurity in international politics, collaborate with other CSS researchers, and publish in internationally renowned academic outlets.

Your profile

We are looking for an innovative and highly motivated researcher with a background in international relations/security studies and knowledge about the political aspects of cybersecurity. You must have or expect to complete a PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant field, including international relations and security studies. You possess excellent English language skills, high-level analytical and writing skills, and an independent and well-organized working style. The ability to work in an international team is essential, as is your readiness to engage with other senior researchers at CSS.
