Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated researcher with a flair for policy relevant work to develop an independent research project in the field of nuclear arms control. Specifically, we are interested in projects studying the conditions under which arms control efforts succeed or fail. Projects that explore the applicability of traditional arms control to new technologies and an altered geopolitical environment are particularly welcome, as are those informed by research on non-Western approaches and cases.


Your profile

The successful candidates will have a PhD degree (or will be close to completion) in international relations / security studies. You possess good theoretical and empirical knowledge of the field, excellent writing skills, passion for research and have an independent and well-organized working style. Beyond this, the interest and ability to work in an international team is essential.
