Job description

We search a scientific assistant with interest in teaching spatial and urban planning, urban design and urban studies. The scientific assistant will help teaching in the international master program Spatial Development and Infrastructure Systems and in the bachelor program Geospatial Engineering.


Your profile

We search for a scientific assistant with

  • A Master degree (or near completion of) in urban and spatial planning, urban design planning, or urban studies
  • Strong interest in developing experience in academic teaching and supervising theses
  • Good knowledge and interest in questions and challenges at the interface of urban design, spatial planning, and urban studies
  • Good knowledge of the Swiss spatial planning context
  • Very good command of written and spoken English and German as teaching is conducted in both languages
  • Practical experience in planning and urban design is an asset

We offer

We offer a scientific assistant position focused on teaching. The position can be filled in a 40-100% workload (upon negotiation). Please specify the workload that is possible for you in the application. The position can be up to 6 years and will start in summer 2022. There is an opportunity to pursue a PhD if both parties want this.
