We are looking for a part-time research assistant to work on projects in the field of experimental and behavioral economics under the supervision of Prof. Michel Maréchal at the University of Zurich. He conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersections of economics, social psychology, criminology and political science. Professor Maréchal is a behavioral economist and uses field and lab experimental methods, often in collaboration with firms, non-profit, and governmental organizations. One of his current projects is in collaboration with Harvard Law school and studies the economic, social and psychological consequences of incarceration.
The position is remote and the research assistant will work closely with Prof. Maréchal directily. The salary is on an hourly basis and working hours are flexibly negotiable. Ideally, this is the start of a longer-term employment relationship.
Your responsibilities
You will assist Prof. Maréchal in his course teaching and work on projects that involve the analysis of experimental data and assist in the design and analysis of large-scale field experiments.
Your profile
You study Economics or another quantitative field in Zurich, preferably in your bachelor and interested in a master's degree.
You have a quick comprehension, a willingness to learn, and a proactive and independent approach to work. Good emprical skills are mandatory, knowledge in Powerpoint, Stata and possibly programming languages like Python are an advantage.
