The Institute of Molecular and Clinical Ophthalmology Basel (IOB) is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant.

In the role of Protein Engineering / Synthetic Biology Research Assistant, you will bring your expertise in protein design and expression, to participate in developing and testing new therapies to restore vision.

A successful candidate will be in charge of maintaining cell lines expressing membrane-bound proteins and conducting mammalian cell tissue culture and DNA transfection / transduction. Cell cultures will be maintained and used for protein expression testing and production of designed proteins from recombinant DNA based vectors and other transduction systems.
