The Department of Commercial and Business Law of the University of Zurich and the Research Network for Sustainable Finance www.susfin.ch is seeking to fill the position of a Research Assistant as of 01.01.2022 or 01.02.2022 at the Chair for Law & Finance under the direction of Professor Kern Alexander. Employment would provisionally be for 6-12 months in the first instance, with a possibility of extension depending on the candidate's performance and upon mutual agreement.
Your responsibilities
  • Research pertaining to the Swiss Code of Obligations and related regulations for banking and financial services law, investment law/pension fund, and corporate law interacts with environmental sustainability/climate change regulation
  • Administrative duties at the chair, contribution (including multi-media) to teaching, exams and conferences, and research for publications and scientific projects.

Your profile
  • Fluency in both English and German (both C1/C2)
  • Graduates (MLaw / lic. iur. / MSc of Economics) or Master's degree students in their second year of study
  • Above-average grades
  • Great interest in International/European/Swiss corporate, commercial and financial law/regulation, and environmental law and related sustainability issues.
  • Desirable: affinity to CMS, web design, and multi-media production
