At the Nanoparticle Systems Engineering Group, based at EMPA St. Gallen and ETH Zurich , we design and develop conceptionally novel nanotechnology-enabled solutions for precision medicine based on an interdisciplinary design-thinking approach. The lab leverages materials engineering, cutting-edge analytics and simulations to obtain a holistic understanding of the interplay of engineered materials with the living across scales.
As part of a collaborative Horizon Europe research project, we offer an exciting position in the field of correlative imaging of nanotherapeutics in biological systems. We are looking for a postdoctoral scientist with degree in chemistry, material science, engineering, physics or a related field, preferably with a background in analytical chemistry and/or image analysis.Your position
The research seeks to advance the analysis of nanotherapeutics in complex biological systems by harnessing cutting edge (electron) spectroscopy and microscopy techniques as well as the full imaging processing and analysis toolbox (incl. machine learning). The position includes collaboration with leading European academic as well as industrial partners. Furthermore, within the framework of this project, we offer an opportunity to develop an own research focus. The results will be presented at leading national and international conferences and published in top tier journals.
