Postdoc or scientist position in electrocatalysis

The research project focuses on the development and understanding of the electrochemistry, catalytic processes, and the fluid dynamics involved in the electrochemical reduction of CO2 over gas diffusion electrodes.

Your tasks will include:

  • Using multiphysics modelling to relate the chemical and microstructural features of gas diffusion electrodes to their electrocatalytic performance
  • Actively contributing to the development of the experimental automation platform and its integration with the electronic lab notebook

The position is embedded in a national initiative towards digital chemistry/materials science.

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD degree in chemistry, physics, materials science, chemical engineering, or a related discipline. The successful candidate will have experience in multiphysics modelling of electrocatalytic or related systems, and a strong track record in Python programming. Familiarity with COMSOL, previous hands-on experience with electrochemistry and/or catalysis, and awareness of best practices in scientific software development and research data management is an advantage.
