Your mission :

The aim of the EPFL Blue Brain Project (BBP), a Swiss brain research initiative founded and directed by Professor Henry Markram, is to establish simulation neuroscience as a complementary approach alongside experimental, theoretical and clinical neuroscience to understanding the brain, by building the world’s first biologically detailed digital reconstructions and simulations of the mouse brain.

Within the Simulation Neuroscience division, we are looking for a Post-doctoral Researcher in Computational Modelling of Large-scale Networks W/M.


Main duties and responsibilities include :
  • Data curation. Data from experimental lab (e.g., morphological reconstructions and electrophysiological recordings), literature and public resources
  • Analysis of experimental data (e.g., morphometrics, electrophysiological features)
  • Build, validate, and refine large-scale network models
  • Exploit the model to answer outstanding questions in the field

Your profile :
  • PhD in Neuroscience, Computational Neuroscience, or related field
  • Experience in the field of Neuroinformatics, data analysis and statistics
  • Experience in Neuroscience, Computational Neuroscience, and large-scale network modelling
  • Experience in scientific computing software (python, Linux)
  • Experience in version control software, shell scripting and using high-performance computing resources
  • Interest in participating in a collaborative big science project
  • Strong team player and fluent English in speech and writing
