The candidate will work in the field of crystallization and isolation of pharmaceutical drug substances. The objective of this research project is to built a model of crystallization mechanisms that can be further used for scale up. In order to generate this model the candidate will perform lab trials to collect high quality data using a wide array of analytical technics (in situ or/and offline) such as ATR-FTIR, turbidity, particle size determination, XRPD. The data will be used to build the model which is based on the population balance principle and using a state of the art modelling software.
Performs lab experiments independently (set up, interpretation, troubleshooting and reporting) Builds a mechanistic model of the crystallization kinetics of a pharmaceutical drug substance Communicates clearly and efficiently progresses, issues to supervisor Delivers a final report and a presentation of main findings to the team
Bachelor/Master master degree in chemical engineering English Experience in the lab handling chemicals and powders Good knowledge of balances principles (heat, mass population) Powder caracterisation technics Experience in pharmaceutical industry
