Professor Alexander Stremitzer and his team at the Center for Law & Economics (CLE) are expanding! We are recruiting a research/teaching assistant who will support us with the course Contract Design and other academic projects. The job starts IMMEDIATELY (i.e., in September).


Job description

You will support Prof. Stremitzer in tasks related to Contract Design. This position entails assisting in developing course materials, such as slides or handouts, and in creating quizzes, case studies and other assignments. You are also going to be responsible for the course logistics and other administrative work. Furthermore, you will help students and respond to their emails. If needed, you will conduct academic research on contract design as well.

Salaries are competitive and paid according to ETH standards .


Your profile

We are looking for master students with an advanced background in law & econ, econ, or law. You should have a keen interest in economic contract theory or in contract law/ contract drafting. Successful candidates have strong grades and preferably some relevant experience in contract design (e.g., internship at a law firm, or thesis on a similar topic). Proficiency in English is a must. Fluency in German is an advantage.

Research/Teaching Assistants who do well in this position might have the option to pursue an academic career at the CLE.
