The Educational Development and Technology (LET) department, attached to the Rector of ETH Zurich, supports all those involved in teaching at ETH Zurich in their teaching activities. LET offers a high-quality range of courses and advice, promotes teaching innovations and the use of digital technologies in university teaching.

Join the Teaching Development team from 1 June 2023 or by agreement as an Educational Development Specialist with a focus on curriculum development (80-100%)


Job description

In this position you will work in the Curriculum & Faculty Development team with a special focus on the (further) development of study programmes at ETH Zurich. Together with colleagues, you will develop various offers for advising study programmes and supporting curriculum development projects. 

In the area of Faculty Development, you will use your teaching competence and teaching experience at the university level to independently and as part of a team conduct continuing education events and workshops and support teachers in the transfer of new teaching concepts into teaching practice at ETH Zurich. 


Your profile
  • You have a university degree at least at a Master's level, preferably a doctorate in a technical or scientific discipline (MINT/STEM subject) or in the field of education/psychology as well as a (university) didactic qualification.
  • You also have experience in analysing teaching and learning processes using quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • You are confident in the organisational and working culture of a higher education institution and are familiar with basic concepts of higher education didactics as well as with current topics of higher education development. 
  • In particular, you have teaching experience, preferably in German and English.
  • Your conceptual skills as well as your project experience help you to develop offers and materials adapted to different target groups.
  • You have a confident manner, are communicative, have a stylistically confident way of expressing yourself in German and English and network quickly within and outside ETH Zurich.
