Job Type: Permanent

60%-100%, Zurich, fixed-term

At the ETH Student Project House (SPH) we inspire and empower students to cultivate a maker-innovator mindset. We believe that by exploring their ideas and developing their own projects, students gain valuable hands-on experience and learn important skills for their future. This is why we’ve created an ecosystem where students (Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral) are encouraged to ideate, build prototypes, test and refine them.

Our interdisciplinary team of thirty people support students with the tools and know-how to explore their passion and create their project. We have a greatly equipped Makerspace that gives students access to the tools and equipment they need to prototype. To take projects to the next level we have a co-working, ideation, and event space and offer coaching.

In order to empower ETH students with their project we want to provide hardware and software tools, digital know-how and create a community of digital innovators. For that we are creating and operating a lot of digital solutions, since a lot of our offerings live in the digital space only. We're now looking for an Digitalization, IT and Software Development Intern to help us build these digital tools. Read on to see if that might be you!

  • We currently have two locations. Our main location is close to ETH main building, the other one is on Hönggerberg.
  • We work in the same open space as our project teams and meet with everyone at eye level. The individuals we work with are from a diverse range of backgrounds and disciplines, which is why we communicate in English.
  • We offer an internship of 6 to 12 months.
  • We believe in open source software and contributing back wherever we can.
