Your mission :
A 40-60% position is available for a talented computational biologist or bioinformatician to join the Gönczy Laboratory of Cell and Developmental Biology in the School of Life Sciences of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland (
https://gonczy-lab.epfl.ch).
Main duties and responsibilities include :
The successful candidate will contribute to several ongoing projects in the laboratory, including by exploiting sequenced-based evolutionary information to infer biophysical properties of proteins, modeling 3D protein domains, analyzing co-evolving residues, as well as retrieving and analyzing large data sets in various formats. Moreover, she/he will participate in image segmentation and analysis projects with several members of the laboratory.
Your profile :
The successful candidate should have a Masters degree or a PhD in computational biologist/bioinformatics, or an equivalent experience. Moreover, she/he should be scientifically driven, have good interpersonal skills and strive in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment. Good oral and written command of English is required.
