The Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics of the University of Zurich invites applications for an Assistant Professorship (non-tenure track) in «Business Economics, with a focus on Personnel Economics, Vocational Education and Lifelong Learning» starting in fall 2022.
Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree in Business, Economics or related fields, have an excellent record of academic achievements, and have the potential for internationally recognized research in the area of Business Economics, in particular Pesonnel and Education Economics with a focus on Lifelong Learning. They should also have shown an interest in the role of vocational education and training (in Switzerland or neighboring countries), they should have strong methodological skills and they should have a proven potential to develop a research field. Moreover, we expect an interest in attracting external funding, in knowledge transfer and in supporting the development of the Leading House «Economics of Education». Candidates should have a record of teaching skills and should bring an interest in supervising students at graduate and undergraduate level.
A successful candidate is expected to have high publication potential and be engaged in internationally recognized research in the area of Business Economics with a focus on personnel and education economics, have experience in teaching and participated in knowledge transfer activities. The performance evaluation will be undertaken in line with DORA and the Open Science Policy of the University of Zurich.
