At the Faculty of Librarianship, Information, Education and IT, education and research are conducted in Library and Information Science, Informatics, and Educational Work. The Department of Information Technology has more than 25 employees, three Bachelor's programmes, and one Master's programme in informatics. The department has a successful research environment in information technology with several significant externally funded projects, for example in data-driven innovation and service development, intelligent data analysis, and IT service management. The department also has strong collaborations with the business community in both research and education, including through the newly launched Techarena Borås.

Job description

As part of our team, you will conduct research in existing projects and contribute to the department's research environment. You will play an important role in developing procedures for design science research to be incorporated into the ongoing activities of the university, for example in methodology and thesis courses. You will perform various tasks such as reviewing publications, organising scientific seminars, and teaching students in our Bachelor’s and Master’s level programmes.


Qualifications

For employment, the following is required: 

  • a doctoral degree or equivalent scientific competence in informatics or a related field
  • demonstrated scientific excellence
  • demonstrated teaching skills
  • good and documented knowledge of English, both spoken and written
  • solid experience in writing research proposals
  • solid experience in research with a focus on design science research.

It is a merit if you have undergone training in teaching and learning in higher education involving at least 10 weeks full-time study (15 credits) or have otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge.


About the employment

Type of employment: Temporary by agreement, with a maximum of three months (90 days).
Employment rate: approximately 75 %
Starting date: between 15 August and 14 November, or by agreement.
