The Department of Archeology and Antiquity is a multi-disciplinary institution that works for greater cooperation between the disciplines involved. At the department there is teaching and research in the subjects of Classical Archaeology and Ancient History, Archeology, Osteology, Egyptology and Global Environmental History. The department is located both in Uppsala and Visby (Campus Gotland). Duties
Webmaster for the IHOPE webpage (Ihopenet.org), and regular update of news items using Wordpress. Design of project pages and the IHOPE newsletter. Organisation of the Scientific Steering Committee meetings and communications broadly. Assisting International Programme Office in planning and organising activities. Strategic planning of outreach and for recruitment of new members, including student activities.

Requirements
Admitted or recently graduated as a student at advanced level in any subject relevant to historical ecology (global environmental history, archaeology, ancient history and classical studies or equivalent). Previous experience with Wordpress is a requirement. 

Additional qualifications
Prior experience in outreach and dissemination will be given high weight in the recruitment.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position according to the Higher Education Ordinance chapter 5 § 12. Scope of employment 50 %. Starting date 2023-01-01 or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala.
