The position

You will participate in ongoing research projects where tasks are focused on laboratory work. Cultivation of bacteria, cell culture, preparation of DNA/RNA from cells, and PCR analyses.


The person we need

The person we are looking for can easily adapt to new circumstances, are confident and stable, like to collaborate and carry out your work in a accurate and quality-conscious manner.

The following education, experience and expertise are required:

  • High school diploma from natural science program
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory activities
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech as well as in writing

In addition, the following education, experience and expertise will strengthen an application:

  • International experience
  • Started university studies in medicine or biotechnology
  • RNA/DNA purification
  • Cell culture

The workplace

The work is carried out in a medium-sized research group consisting of students and postdocs. You will work in the Division of Molecular Medicine and Virology (MMV) which is part of the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences (BKV).
MMV conducts multi-disciplinary research as well as undergraduate and postgraduate education in medical science.
You will participate in research aimed at mapping the cellular and molecular mechanisms that drive adverse effects on immune cell formation and mature immune cells. To explore these questions, we use different experimental models in combination with methods such as cell culture, purification of RNA/DNA, spectral flow cytometry and RNA sequencing.
