Subject/subject description
In the area of information systems, an important goal is to develop and adapt the use of standardized enterprise-wide information systems, namely, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to the company's business needs. Within the topic area of ERP systems there are several key areas of knowledge, such as configuration and adaptation of ERP system solutions to the company's business needs, integration of ERP systems to other types of systems, e.g., with open data or for manufacturing within Industry 4.0, as well as methods and services for delivery of ERP systems, including as cloud services.

The complexity of ERP system solutions can be handled in several ways with model-based methods (e.g., Enterprise Modeling) for the purpose of analysis of the business and the required ERP system. Methods for analysis of standardized systems, associated APIs, and management of standardized and reusable software components are also of importance to the application.

Main responsibilities
The successful candidate of the lecturer position shall conduct teaching, course development and have course responsibilities within education at the undergraduate, master and research level in the field. Examples of content in the courses are ERP systems – use and management, design and architecture, enterprise and conceptual modelling, business process modeling, and model-driven development of services and information systems.

The successful candidate is expected to supervise theses at bachelor's, master's, and PhD levels, as well as to perform administrative duties.

The employment includes own competence and research time, which is stipulated by the local agreement for teachers.

The responsibilities also include involvement in the development of the department’s collaboration with the business community and other research institutions in the field.

Qualification requirements
Eligible applicants for the position of senior lecturer should hold a PhD in Computer and Systems Sciences, or have equivalent research skills and have demonstrated teaching expertise.

Teaching proficiency should normally have been demonstrated through teaching experience at both the undergraduate- and master’s levels. Teaching proficiency should be well documented and in a manner that makes it possible to assess the quality of the teaching activities.

The applicant must have the ability to cooperate with colleagues as well as other abilities that are required in order successfully to meet the demands of the position.

Assessment criteria
Special and equal emphasis will be placed on teaching and research skills in the area of ERP systems – configuration, tailoring, system integration, deployment as cloud services, enterprise modeling, enterprise architecture, model-driven development based on enterprise and system models, including process and conceptual models.

Strong emphasis will be placed on having successfully planned, applied for and obtained research project funds from external research funding bodies.

Strong emphasis will be placed on practical experience in the analysis and design of information systems, focusing on customizable and reusable solutions as well as ERP systems.

Strong emphasis will be placed on a documented ability to cooperate well with colleagues and fellow researchers.

Emphasis will be placed on administrative skills and proven collaboration with the surrounding society and dissemination of research and development findings.

Teaching and learning in higher education
It is a merit to have completed at least 15 higher education credits in teaching and learning in higher education or to have otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge.
