The Department of Mathematics conducts research and provides education at undergraduate and graduate levels in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics.

Duties
To carry out research in mathematics and disseminate results, in particular on structural properties of graphs and other combinatorial questions.

Requirements

  • hold a bachelor´s degree or a  Master’s (second-cycle) degree in Mathematics, or
  • have completed at least 240 credits in higher education, with at least 60 credits at Master’s level including an independent project worth at least 15 credits

Experience in discrete probabilistic methods and random graphs.

Additional qualifications
Knowledge of community structure in graphs would be an advantage. Obtained master´s degree is an advantage.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, approx three months. Scope of employment 100%. Starting date 19 June or as agreed. Placement: Uppsala.
