The Department of Chemistry - Ångström conducts research and education in the chemistry field. The department has more than 250 employees and has a turnover of 250 million SEK. At the department's six programs, we conduct very successful research of a high international standard. We have a large number of externally funded research projects, often with international cooperation and we see continued good growth in our subject area. Duties: 
Develop and test plasmonic hybrid systems from CO2 and proton reductions. The duties include preparation of plasmonic materials, synthesis of molecular catalysts, ultrafast characterization and photoelectrocatalytic testing. The work also including reporting and writing scientific manuscripts.

Requirements: 
Applicants must have:

• Education: PhD in Chemistry
• Experience: experience in organic and plasmonic materials synthesis, characterization including laser based characterization and photoelectrocatalytic testing.
• Knowledge: in English, origin data analysis and handling of technical grade equipment.  The candidate must have deep understanding of plasmon effect and hot carrier formation.
• Competences: able to work independently but part of a team project.  

Consideration will also be given to good collaborative skills, drive and independence, and how the applicant’s experience and skills complement and strengthen ongoing research within the department, and how they stand to contribute to its future development.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position, 1 month. Scope of employment 100 %. Starting date 2023-06-01. Placement: Uppsala.
